We released three major project updates this month, which included nearly 200 bug fixes in total with dozens of new features and optimizations.
Latest Release: Updated promotional opportunities for PRO Platinum offering
In this update, we provide new features and updates plus over 90 bug fixes.
The main update was a modification of the announcements of two PRO deals. They now read:
“Get exclusive PRO features to meet new people and manage relationships better. Instantly earn the referral rewards BONUS when you go PRO”; and
“Use promo code ‘50OFF’ to get 50 percent off the PRO Platinum package for LIFE,” a deal which is scheduled to expire 30-days after joining Webtalk.
Webtalk’s PRO service is a premium networking and contact management service for both consumers and small business, offered at a fraction of the cost of the competition. It’s also the world’s first ad-free subscription in a major networking platform, removing banner ads and advertising tracking.
In addition to modifying the PRO deal offering, we’ve revamped the news filter to provide full text for the news filter and added an on/off switch for the desktop version of “Include Public News” button, as well as updates to list, group filter, and “Remember Me” functionalities. Moreover, we’ve added a fix to the “Public News” filter, the preview link, post editing, and the email addresses link preview.
We’ve also added modifications to the sharing, user info box, lightbox, and payment-dashboard pages.

Second update has many new features plus nearly 60 bug fixes.
In this update, we released a couple new Newsfeed filters, which are “Professional Contacts EXCLUDING Acquaintances” and “Remember My Selection.”
We also updated the onboarding page. We properly aligned the switch, fixed the green popup box, and upgraded the “Current Plan” functionality to “Select Plan.” What’s more, we bolstered user functionality so that when a user verifies an email address there’s an opportunity to add more information, such as educational background, to the user profile.
In addition to upgrading the onboarding page, we made improvements to the profile, files/photos/videos, and newsfeed/news filter pages.

Widgets and more in the first release of the month
Webtalk released a new update this month with new designs and functionality plus 40 bug fixes.
In addition to launching a new design starting with the right column on every page, we’ve also released two new right column widgets. The “Referral Rewards” widget, which is for PRO members only is the most powerful addition. We are testing this widget to act as a replacement to ads for PRO members. It will show up on every page and continuously provide daily and monthly updates on your referral rewards progress.
We also made minor upgrades to the newsfeed/social syndication, onboarding, and CMS pages.
